Using your home education funding.
If your family receives home education funding through a school authority, you can put it toward Board & Quill. We take purchase orders, so your authority can pay us directly. Every pack is a completed set of lessons, delivered as PDFs you download and keep. Here's how it works, and a form at the bottom to get your order started.
Why packs and not a subscription? Most education authorities won't issue a purchase order for anything with a recurring cost, so we've built these one-time packs as an easy way to use your funding. If you'd rather have a full subscription, most schooling authorities will reimburse you if you submit receipts for educational materials. Check with them first if you're unsure.
Hot tip: here in Alberta you can submit receipts for board games too, if they're on your program plan!
How it works
- Build your order below and add the name of your school authority. Nothing is charged, and you're not committing to anything yet.
- We tally your order and contact your authority's office to request a purchase order number.
- Once the purchase order comes through, we set up your portal account and send you a sign-in link by email. Your materials are ready to use right away.
- We invoice your authority directly, quoting the purchase order number. The funding covers it.
A pack is the lessons, not the game. You get every lesson we've written for the games in it, delivered as PDFs you download and keep. If you don't own one of the games yet, second-hand stores, Facebook Marketplace and garage sales turn up board games all the time, and borrowing from friends or family costs nothing at all. ♥
Already registered with us through your authority's approved vendor list? Wonderful. If not, just name your authority in the form and we'll reach out to them about becoming a vendor. It's a quick process, and we're happy to handle it.
